Carl-Jung-Headshot“We are born at a given moment, in a given place and, like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season of which we are born. Astrology does not lay claim to anything more.”  – Dr. Carl Jung

Often we think we know famous people by their work and the way the media covers them. During my years in the entertainment business, I came to know better than that…  Famous people are rarely what they seem to be.
Here I present a selection of BIRTH CHARTS for some well known people. Those for the people I have known are extraordinarily accurate! As to those people I don’t know, well… who knows?

Betty WhiteBETTY WHITE
Upon hearing of the passing of this cultural giant, I made a Natal Chart for Ms. White. The results are as one would expect!

“When all around you are bedraggled and falling apart, you look like a million bucks!”
“Extremely serious and mature, you are capable of accepting responsibilities and do so willingly.”
“You are goal-oriented and an achiever by nature — you’re a hard worker and are justifiably proud of the tangible results of your efforts.”
“You tend to be serious-minded but cheerful for the most part.” “You usually will go out of your way to be helpful and useful to others.”
“You have strongly felt notions about things and are quite vocal about expressing and defending them. Yet you are also an original thinker — you enjoy shocking others with your offbeat, original thoughts.”
“You are objective and quite concerned with fair play and justice.”
“You’re the perfect ‘team player’ willing to sacrifice your own importance so that the group goal can be accomplished.”
And much more! All the traits that inevitably lead to longterm success and the admiration of one’s peers.

HELEN KELLERKELLER
Her’s remains a most inspiring story of the human will overcoming the most devastating adversity. Through the play and movie THE MIRACLE WORKER, Helen Keller’s story has touched millions of lives around the world. This true story of the opening up of the whole universe to a child so cruelly robbed of senses shows that there’s much more to life than most of us can imagine.
Amazingly, Keller’s Birth Chart begins:
You tend to be quiet, reserved, secretive and, at times, quite difficult to understand. Others notice your deep emotions and feelings and wonder how to draw you out.”

TIGER WOODS
A phenomenon from the age of 2, Woods has had his ups and downs. It must be difficult to have one’s life splashed across the media from childhood on. Click the image to see his birth chart.

DR. TIMOTHY LEARY
Easily one of the most controversial figures in American history – a respectedLeary psychologist, a one-time noted Harvard Professor (and one of only two ever fired by Harvard!), he even attended West Point (briefly!). This is a man who shaped the culture right up to the moment of his death – which he live-streamed. Pres. Nixon called Dr. Leary “the most dangerous man in America.” The chart may tell us why!
“You are known for being open, frank, outgoing and honest. At times, though, you are also blunt and quite indiscreet,” and, “You are a born investigator,” and, “Very freedom-oriented” – when we consider Dr. Leary’s spectacular, successful escape from prison…
Wow…

BILLIE HOLIDAYBILLIE HOLIDAY
An artist of lasting cultural importance. She had a distinctive style that has influenced scores of singers – Nat King Cole cried when he first heard Peggy Lee, saying “She’s got Lady Day in her voice.” But none will ever compare to the original. Holiday’s life was cut short no doubt in large measure as a result of the hounding she endured from racist “anti-drug” government officials. She died at the age of 44, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy. Click the image to see her birth chart which begins, “You like new ideas and concepts”.

GEORGE LAZENBYLazenby
Thought of mostly as a punchline because he refused to do more than one 007 movie, there is much much more to  Lazenby! Considering the words of the latest 007, Daniel Craig – “I’d rather slash my wrists than play James Bond again” – Lazenby may have been on to something. He has always lived life on his own terms. Turning 80 years old in 2019, he endured over a dozen kidney operations as a small child, spending a year and a half in the hospital and leaving him with only one half a kidney. His death was expected before he reached 20. He’s managed to outwit the Grim Reaper and carve a place for himself. Click the picture for some insight into his life. “Older looking and very serious as a youth,” his chart tells us. Indeed, he’s not yet 30 in that picture, when he was the youngest of the screen’s James Bonds…

Bruce Lee

BRUCE LEE
(李振藩)
A dynamic personality who died tragically young, Lee started his career as a child actor. As he matured, Lee sensed the depth of existence that escapes many people. He found himself growing into more of a philosopher than a performer, as he looked for true purpose and the true Universal  harmony in human existence. With the insights Lee gained, he dedicated himself to the Martial Arts as something more than fighting. This search led to Lee’s creation, on July 9, 1967, of a system he named  Jeet Kune Do, “The way of the intercepting fist,” which he described as a manner of formless Kung Fu (meaning: “Skill achieved through hard work”). As his fame grew, many Hollywood personalities studied with the spirited young man. He adeptly parlayed these connections into a film career that came close to The Big Time, yet never quite took off. Heading for Hong Kong to seek what he wanted, Lee awakened the world with his skill in some now-classic movies that turned the Martial Art film into a national phenomenon. He made a triumphant return to Hollywood with a ENTER THE DRAGON, but never lived to see his greatest success. From his Birth Chart: Very fun-loving, spirited and energetic, you have a huge reservoir of physical energy within you that needs to be released. As such, exercise or sports are very important to you. Click the picture to read more…

GROUCHO MARXgroucho-marx.jpeg
“you often strike back with bitter sarcasm..” Yup! That sure describes Julius “Groucho” Marx in a nutshell. There’s more: “Once you have become interested in any subject, you pursue it with total fanaticism.” Marx had only a 4th grade education – something that irked him all his life – yet through sheer will power educated himself to the point of expertise in any field that drew his attention. How many people who have completed no more than the 4th grade have their letters collected in The Library of Congress? That, plus the fact that Marx became world-famous, proves this from his Birth Chart: “Extremely ambitious, you are willing to work very hard to reach the goals you have set for yourself.

“Your refined tastes apply to music and to art as well…” a master of the works of Gilbert & Sullivan, Marx also had many friends in the world of arts and letters – ranging from Salvador Dalí to T.S. Eliot. Click the image to read more about this complex man…

bezoz

JEFF BEZOS
From the beginning of the chart: “you must be first at everything you do. Very energetic, self-assertive and active, things must be done your way.” Then:
“Extremely ambitious, you are willing to work very hard to reach the goals you have set for yourself. Very practical, cautious and conservative, you demand tangible results for your efforts. You need to excel in whatever you do, “
If that doesn’t describe this driven man, nothing does! What can we say about Jeff Bezos? Here’s the thing about billionaires: they are all people who once had $900,000,000 and… it was just not enough for them. Since many in our society idolize those who hoard money, the super-rich exert an undue influence on our lives. But then… people allow them to do it. I post this man’s birth chart so that we may glean some insight into the kind of person he is.

I once had a friend who said, “Money’s great but it’s not worth working for.” That kind of attitude would puzzle the richest among us…

SMEDLEY BUTLER
One of a very few military men to be twice awarded the Medal of Honor, Maj. Gen. ButlerSmedely Butler never shirked from doing what he saw as his duty. After a remarkable career in the US Marine Corps, Butler reappraised his service, specifically the wars in which he participated. This led to an epiphany during which we wrote the classic book WAR IS A RACKET. His standing among his troops always remained high. And so, during The Great Depression, when several Wall Street titans attempted to lead a coup and remove President Franklin Roosevelt – they approached Butler to lead his former soldiers in the rebellion. Butler was promised the leadership of the nation’s new government. If only the plotters had read Butler’s birth chart! “Stubborn and tough, you fight for any position you believe in.You are very resourceful and formidable when you become angered or upset about something”... And this plot definitely angered Butler! To the shock of the Wall Street cabal, Butler went to the press and the movie newsreels, exposing the entire treasonous affair. After all his medals and honors, this action stands as Butler’s greatest monument. Click the image to see the birth chart of a truly great man!

NOËL COWARDCoward
Very attractive and popular, your charm helps you to get your own way,” so begins Noël Cowards birth chart. What more can one say about this suave, urbane, raconteur? Coward was nothing, if not charming. A man of many talents, his slashing wit was the essence of brevity – with the power of a left-hook to the jaw. His chart says: Extremely ambitious, you are willing to work very hard to reach the goals you have set for yourself. ” Right on the money, for Coward became a distinguished actor, singer, playwright, composer, lyricist, director… he could do it all. One role he was offered, but turned down, was as the title character in a movie based on a book by his good friend Ian Fleming (See his chart below): DR. NO. That would have been something to see! Among his more notable quips: “It is discouraging how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit.” Supremely confident, he offered this formula to people who sought his advice in life: Work hard, do the best you can, don’t ever lose faith in yourself and take no notice of what other people say about you.” And speaking of charm, here was his formula for success upon the stage: “Consider the public. Neither fear it nor despise it. Coax it, charm it, interest it, stimulate it, shock it now and then if you must, make it laugh, make it cry, but above all never, never, never bore the living hell out of it.” Coward’s career spanned the years from 1911 to 1973 – playing everywhere from Europe to Africa and even Las Vegas!

IAN FLEMING

From Fleming’s chart: “You love the external, kaleidoscopic aspects of Ian Fleming reading a copy of Casino Royalelife, but you tend to avoid (and even fear) deep, close emotional involvements. As such, you seem to enjoy travel and sightseeing and generally being ‘on-the-go.’ You get quite listless when things around you become static and dull…” That certainly describes Ian Fleming’s most famous alter-ego, James Bond of HMSS. And adventurer himself, Fleming worked the spy game during the Second World War, along with master magician Aleister Crowley – Now THAT would make a hell of a movie! It was Crowley who devised a magickal symbol to counteract the power of the nazi sigil, a reversed swastika. Crowley came up with the perfect symbol and With Fleming’s help, that is how Winston Churchill’s famous “V” for victory came about. You won’t find that in history books! Through his WW2 work, Fleming met many fascinating spies – and villains! How adapted much of that for his wildly popular James Bond novels and short stories. “Try to develop the mental discipline to finish what you start…” his chart warns. That was an almost constant struggle with Fleming, and it threatened to torpedo his desire to be an author. He hit upon a perfect solution: For two months every year from 1946 to his death in 1964, Fleming left London and  holed up in his Jamaica vacation home (called Goldeneye) to spend his days in almost non-stop writing, avoiding as many distractions as possible. Clearly that strategy paid off… Click the picture to see the chart of this very contradictory personality.

Errol-in-Bowtie-Color-Photo-ofERROL FLYNN
You know it’s Flynn when the birth chart starts:
You are a free spirit and you must be first at everything you do. Very energetic, self-assertive and active, things must be done your way.” Flynn must have been THE free spirit of the 20th Century. You want to do everything full-tilt, 100 miles per hour!” the chart notes. How true! Barely living to the age of 50, he crammed more into those years than any three people! A lesser known side of Flynn is revealed in his birth chart: You have an almost desperate need to be loved and wanted and needed by everyone with whom you come into contact, and you go out of your way to be accommodating to them.” Judging to many stories of his life, this is in fact true although one needs to dig to find it. This trait cost him dearly and led to an aloofness and suspicion of people. You get quite listless when things around you become static and dull,” the chart notes. Indeed! Flynn was notorious for dropping things when there was not enough action and jumping aboard his yacht to cruise the seas (you can see Flynn’s yacht in the Orson Welles film Lady from Shanghai). Elsewhere, the chart correctly says that Flynn loves to travel. And those travels took him all over the world and far from home in Hobart, Tasmania.

AL CAPONECapone
“You, and most of your peers, have the tendency to think that all ideas, customs and traditions from the past are outmoded and irrelevant.” Well that, from Capone’s birth chart, certainly sums up the young man who blew into Chicago and eliminated the old-line Italian gangsters, who he sneeringly derided as “Mustache Petes”. To continue: “High-spirited and courageous, you are a fighter when your emotions are aroused. The degree of force and drive that you can bring to any effort sometimes surprises others. You have hair-trigger reactions to specific stimuli and tend to ‘let it all hang out’.” Yeah, surprises the life out of people like George “Bugs” Moran and his gang holed up on a Chicago garage on St. Valentine’s day. Your moods change quickly — you have quite a temper…,” “You are quite skillful at organizing, directing and planning activities,” “you are known for being impulsive, careless, reckless, foolhardy, rash and daring.” No comment necessary on those! Capone managed use his organizing skills to take over Chicago and lay the groundwork for a national criminal syndicate that survives to this day. To that end, Capone made innovative use of the “Chicago Piano,” aka the Thompson Submachine Gun, designed for trench warfare in WW1, but never used because that war ended. The chart ends with a warning Capone may well have benefited from knowing: But do try to avoid the temptation to use others to reach your goals — they might come to resent you. ” He was  resented to the point of needing an armor plated Cadillac. Ever a snappy dresser, see that mugshot, Capone went by the name Snorky – slang of the era for a sharp dresser. For decades Capone held the record for individual earnings by a businessman…

BETTY FRIEDANBetty Friedan
From the birth chart: You tend to be very opinionated — you have strongly felt notions about things and are quite vocal about expressing and defending them. Yet you are also an original thinker — you enjoy shocking others with your offbeat, original thoughts.” No. Kidding. Friedan, the “Mother” of the modern feminist movement, had more of an affect on the late 20th Century world than just about any person – male or female. Her book 1963 The Feminine Mystique still sells, and remains required reading to see where the Women’s Movement (demeaned by corporate media as “Women’s Lib”) came from. A reporter for a noted labor publication, Friedan was fired when she became pregnant. After that she became a freelance writer. Her book, mentioned above, threw this “housewife” into the national spotlight as a speaker and writer on the subject of equal rights for the sexes.
Friedan’s influence grew when she served as the first president on NOW, the National Organization for Women. The chart also notes of Friedan “You get bored with the status quo and are generally open to new things and ideas.” Yes, she certainly threw a curve into the status quo! This, from her chart, perfectly sums up the life and works of Betty Friedan: “You, and most of your peers, are extremely idealistic and want to change society by completely reorienting its highest goals and aspirations. Many people want to do that. Betty Friedan succeeded!

RICHARD MATHESON

Photo of the author of "Other Kingdoms," Richard Matheson.Ok, many of you will see this name and ask WHO? Others will know the name immediately. Here’s a hint for those who don’t know the name: What’s your favorite Twilight Zone episode? Odds are that Richard Matheson wrote it. One of the world’s most celebrated authors of Speculative Fiction and of bone-chilling Horror/Fantasy, Matheson wrote novels, short stories, and films for most all of his life. In the latter part of his career, he turned to writing Westerns – with his very first attempt at the genre garnering the coveted Golden Spur Award. These extracts from his chart could only mean WRITER: Shy, dreamy, romantic in nature, you delight in retreating into your private fantasy world…
You think with your feelings or with images produced by your rich and fertile imagination. A very subjective person, your dreams and fantasies are very important to you…
Extremely ambitious, you are willing to work very hard to reach the goals you have set for yourself…
Your personal growth occurs when you have the freedom to do things in new and interesting ways — this brings out your natural inventiveness…
It’s uncanny! That last part shows how he could so easily switch to Westerns after decades of writing Twilight Zone style tales. If, as with so many people, Matheson is your favorite writer – a fan group that runs the gamut from Stephen King to Harlan Ellison – click his picture and read the whole chart.

LESLIE CHARTERIS

(Leslie Charles Bowyer-Yin)
From this writer’s birth chart:
“When all around you are bedraggled and falling leslie charterisapart, you look like a million bucks!” – but you could tell that from his picture! Now get this:
“You require strenuous situations in order to grow…”
“You prefer rich, elegant surroundings and possessions, and will try to acquire them as your budget allows. Physically, you are very impressive – – at your best you have a regal, charismatic demeanor and bearing. Try not to be such a showoff!”
“You portray an earthy, physical sexiness that others find quite seductive.”
You know who that sounds like? It sounds very much like Mr. Charteris’ most famous literary character: Simon Templar… THE SAINT! For decades, starting when he was 21 years old, the industrious Mr. Charteris turned out an enormous number of Simon Templar adventures, both short stories and full-length novels. Saint books, eventually he published around 100 of them, appeared regularly from 1928 to 1983! Some of the work in the later years he farmed out to other writers who simulated the Charteris style – but Charteris himself always supervised the work. He even wrote the little ditty The Saint whistled in the movies starring George Sanders – and then showing up in the theme song of the SAINT TV series that made an international star out of actor Roger Moore. A highly intelligent man, Charteris was one of the first members of MENSA, the organization of geniuses. When one reads his work it’s a good idea to keep a dictionary handy, for he was very precise about language, using the best words he could find to enhance his point. Again from his chart: “You are a perfectionist — you enjoy being skillful enough to handle the dexterity required of fine craftsmanship.”
As a writer, his business acumen was well-known and envied. The chart notes: “You need to excel in whatever you do, and you have the required sense of responsibility, dedication and self-discipline to bring it about.” At one point he supervised Saint movies, a network radio show (starring Vincent Price as Simon), even The Saint Magazine that featured his work and mystery tales from other noted authors. The magazine appeared 10 times a year from 1953 to 1967 and are now collectors’ items. And that’s how a young man from Singapore became a world-famous writer!

ANN MORGAN GUILBERT…

In a TV acting career that spanned an astounding 55 years, Ms. Guilbert, an unparalleled comedic actor, brought gales of ann_guilbert_.jpglaughter to uncounted millions of people, earning her a wide fan-base. From her world famous appearances as neighbor Millie Helper on the classic Dick Van Dyke Show (played in over 60 episodes) to her stint on The Nanny in the 90s, and her final appearances in 2016, she had the ability to wring every last laugh out of sometimes thin, pedestrian material. Ms. Guilbert appeared in a wide array of shows, from The Andy Griffith Show to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
On the Big Screen, she will forever be remembered as the wife of philandering husband Joey Bishop in A GUIDE FOR THE MARRIED MAN. In a brilliant sketch in the film, entitled DENY DENY DENY, Guilbert plays a wife who catches her husband and his young mistress in flagrante delicto. In response… well, just watch!

Bunny Breckinridge

Bunny… who? American actor and drag bunny plan 9queen, a member of the Edward D. Wood, Jr. “Stock Company,” today John Cabell “Bunny” Breckinridge remains famous (some say infamous) for his role as “The Ruler” in Ed Wood’s 1959 film “Plan 9 from Outer Space,” widely considered the worst movie ever made, though I would dispute that. This was Breckenridge’s sole film appearance.
Born in 1906, Breckenridge came from a prominent family. Bunny  counted among his ancestors great-great-great-grandfather U.S. Attorney General John Breckinridge. Among his great grandfathers we find  U.S. Vice President and Confederate general John C. Breckinridge as well as Lloyd Tevis, president of Wells Fargo Bank.
Openly gay at a time when it was daring (and illegal!) Breckenridge achieved renown for his flamboyant lifestyle, his outrageous sense of humor, and a love of costume jewelry.
In 1994, Breckinridge found himself portrayed as a character in a motion picture! Comic actor Bill Murray caricatured Bunny in Tim Burton’s 1994 movie “Ed Wood”.
Bunny Breckenridge lived a long and most fascinating life! He died on November 5, 1996 at the age of 93 in Monterey, California. Bunny’s obituary quoted him: “I was a little bit wild when I was young, darling, but I lived my life grandly.”
From Bunny’s Chart:
Very attractive and popular, your charm helps you to get your own way… More than a bit of a showoff, you love to be the center of attention!… You, and most of your peers, have the tendency to think that all ideas, customs and traditions from the past are outmoded and irrelevant… (click Bunny’s picture to see the whole reading)

CHARLES SPENCER CHAPLIN…

Charlie_Chaplin copyIn his movie makeup, perhaps the single most recognizable person in human history, Charlie Chaplin certainly made an impression on the world. Often imitated (see the silent films of Billy West for the best impersonation) but never equaled – Chaplin moved the world of Silent Comedy from its initial pie-in-the-face knockabout roughhouse to a deeper, more resonant art form. His birth chart offers exceptional insights into a creative mastermind: “Quite courageous, you are willing to take calculated risks“… “Once you have become interested in any subject, you pursue it with total fanaticism” (reflected in his overcoming deep fears to master the art of film)… “By nature, you are very energetic and high-spirited…” “You are fiercely independent“… “Very quick-witted, you are known for being an independent thinker” (as shown by Chaplin’s courageous stance of maintaining his own film company and making silent movies well after sound arrived)… “You will be attracted to experiments in marriage and shared lifestyles” (his personal life outraged moralists and led to his expulsion from the United States)… Click the picture to download this extraordinary man’s chart

Reeves Animated

george reeves GRAYFrom Reeves’ chart: “You are a free spirit… Very energetic, self-assertive and active… self-confident, ambitious & passionate, you radiate positive energy.” According to all who know him, that certainly described Actor/Director George Reeves. In just 45 years he made friends everywhere – calling himself “Honest George, The People’s Friend,” for as his chart notes: “You’re attracted to others who need your assistance.”
Famous, of course, for his work in The Adventures of Superman, Reeves remains a fan favorite over 60 years after his untimely death.
His film career began in 1939 with Gone With The Wind, and included impressive appearances in films like Strawberry Blonde, co-starring with James Cagney under director Raoul Walsh.
“You are quite skillful at organizing, directing and planning ny postactivities,” a skill set Reeves put to good use by turning to directing when his ever-present identification as The Man of Steel prevented him from getting other acting offers.
Yet we see a dark side evident in the chart: “Your moods change quickly — you have quite a temper, but you don’t hold grudges. Very independent, with an extremely strong and forceful personality, you are known for being impulsive, careless, reckless, foolhardy, rash and daring.” It was during one such impulsive mood swing, authorities concluded, that Reeves suddenly ended his life at age 45. So hard was this to accept that millions of people still believe Reeves died at the hands of a murderer.
Click the picture of Reeves to see his birth chart.

SEAN CONNERY…
What can you add when the chart tells us that the late Mr. Connery had “well-known seductive charm” and is “very ambitious. An achiever and a hard worker”? Don’t we, the public, know that? And how! How about this? “You are purposeful, self-willed, industrious, realistic, and responsible”? I have known people who worked with this man and from what they told me, it’s all true. Even, believe it or not this: “Practical, reliable, efficient and conservative, at times you are a bit of a prude.” The chart also describes Connery as FRUGAL – a trait that once got Connery into highly publicized trouble over tax-shelters. An avid golfer – since he shot the famous golf match in GOLDFINGER, the chart notes: “sports or daily exercise is a must for you if you are to feel fit and healthy.” He certainly did remain fit over a life of 90 years! To see the chart, click Mr. Connery’s picture.

Robert Hunter Biden
Which Is Real?
Some samples from the Hunter Biden birth chart:

“Extremely active by nature, you like to get around, meet people and do different things.”
“But be careful of a tendency to experience things only superficially”
“Friends are quite important to you as long as they do not try to tie you down by making too many emotional demands on you.”
“Very uncomfortable in those situations where spontaneous and exuberant emotional reactions seem called for”
“You tend to feel that you’re a failure unless you get an important and highly respected position in life.”
“You are a friendly and outgoing individual, but close relationships are difficult for you to maintain due to your fear that they will cause you to lose your freedom.”
“At times, in your zeal to get ahead, you are tactless and offensive”
“Complete freedom of choice makes you ill at ease.”
“You constantly fear that you do not have enough (love, property, material things, etc.) and this makes you tend toward being selfish, withdrawn and stingy.”
